On Saturday evening, the year's best film, TV series, acting performances and much more were awarded at the Robert Awards ceremony.
The top of the pop of the Danish film industry is gathered on Saturday evening in the Tivoli Hotel and Congress Center, where this year's Robert awards are handed out, and there are many surprises throughout the evening.
After all 31 awards had been handed out, it was clear that one film and two TV series in particular dominated the Robert awards. The film "Holy Spider" won almost all the awards it was nominated for, and then DR (Danish Radio & Television) made a clean sweep and won all the TV awards with their series "Carmen Curlers" and "The Orchestra".

At the same time, the director behind "Holy Spider", Ali Abbasi, won the award for Director of the Year, while the actress Zar Amir Ebrahimi was praised for her performance with the award for Female Lead Role.
There were even more awards for 'Holy Spider' that didn't make the cut when the Oscar nominations were recently revealed. Here it was otherwise nominated as Denmark's bid for the award for Best International Film.
But at the Robert Prize it completely cleared the table and also scored the statuettes for Original Screenplay of the Year, Photographer of the Year, Score of the Year, Sound Designer of the Year, Visual Effects of the Year, Set Designer of the Year and Editor of the Year.
'Holy Spider' is inspired by a real serial killer in Iran who targeted female sex workers in 2000 and 2001. In the film, a female journalist tries to solve the murders. The film was shot in Jordan, as the director, Ali Abbasi, was banned from filming in Iran.
Arash Ashtiani won the award for Supporting Actor in a Film of the Year for 'Holy Spider', while Supporting Actress in a Film of the Year went to Lene Maria Christensen for 'Rose'.
There was also an award for Male Lead Role in a Film for Anders W. Berthelsen, who received a statuette for his portrayal of the musician Bamse in the film of the same name.
This year's Documentary got 'A house of splinters', which in March will compete for an Oscar in the same category when the big show is held in Los Angeles.
No fewer than 29 awards were handed out in the evening in categories within both film and television, as well as an Honorary Award, which this year went to Jørgen Leth.
The Danish Film Academy has awarded the coveted Robert awards since 1984. The awards are given after a vote among all the film academy's members. To become a member, it is a requirement that you work in the film industry.
