Mehdi Amir Ghasem Khani, known as Khani (1927 - 1995), was an Iranian director, cinematographer, and editor.

He was the founder of Aria Film Studio and one of the founders of the Mehregan Film Cinema Organization.

Mehdi Amirghasem Khani is known for Hadesejooyan (1970), Agha Moochool (1966) and The Night Story (1973), Ghiamat-e eshgh (1973).

He considered cinematography a combination of artistic taste and technical knowledge, and he knew no other source for developing his talent than watching films carefully. He was subject to the authority given to him by the director or producer.

He worked mostly for the Golden Age Studio, and some of his works include The Prodigal Son (1935), The Mother's Kiss (1936), Seventeen Days to Execution (1936), and The Shadow (1938).

He also directed a few films, such as The Last Desire (1960) and The Bright Horizon (1965).
