Farimah Farjami (May 8, 1950, Tehran, Iran)
Farimah Farjami was born in Tehran and studied at the Tehran University Faculty of Dramatic Arts.
She began her career as a radio play actor in 1976 with the play “Wax Figurine”. Four years later, she debuted with Gholam-Ali Erfan’s film “Said All Three of Them”.
Her performances in the roles of wandering and wavering young or middle age women who struggle with psychological and personal problems were admired by film critics.
She received a Fajr International Film Festival Certificate of Merit for Best Actress for “The Lead” and was nominated for a Crystal Symorgh for Best Actress in a Supporting Role for “Mother”.
Her performance in “The Last Act” won her a Crystal Symorgh. She was also honored for her performance in “Narges” (1992, Rakhshan Bani Etemad) at the Fajr Film Festival.
She has acted in “Red Line”, “Water and Fire” and “Saghar”.
