Nuri Kasraei (March 22, 1951 – January 11, 2020)
Nuri Kasraei was born in 1951 in Tehran, Iran. She was an actress, known for Tangna (1973), Tangsir (1973) and Rafigh (1976).
She was introduced to the film industry in 1970 with the movie 'Panjereh' made by Jalal Moghadam.
"All I'm trying to do is not to appear in vulgar commercial films but give it a new twist," she said in an interview.
She has acted in relatively different and non-stereotyped films, some of which are among the most important new wave films in Iranian cinema; Including Tangna and Tangsir by Amir Naderi, Maslakh by Hadi Saber, Shazdeh Ehtejab by Bahman Farmanara and Last Supper by Shahyar Ghanbari.
Nuri Kasraei died on January 11, 2020 at her home in Tehran, and two days later her body was discovered by the police and firefighters. The cause of death was stroke and high blood pressure.
