Esfandiar Monfaredzadeh (March 14, 1941, Tehran, Iran)
Esfandiar Monfaredzadeh is an Iranian composer and Director. He was born in 1941 in Tehran to a Muslim father and Jewish Mother.
He grew up with friends like Masoud Kimiai (director) and Faramarz Gharibian (actor) in the same neighborhood.
Monfaredzadeh learned musical instruments at an early age at school, joined Iranian National Radio (Radio Iran), then went to the University of Tehran to study music but dropped it after he wrote the music score for the movie Ghaisar.
He continued writing and composing music for many films until the Iranian revolution when he left Iran.
His major works are Ghaisar, Dash Akol, Tangna, Gavaznha.
Monfaredzadeh has 2 daughters Bibinaz Monfaredzadeh and Sanam Monfaredzadeh Woods (by marriage).
