Manouchehr Valizadeh, whose real name is "Manouchehr Valizadeh Tehrani" (born on June 25, 1940 in Tehran), is a dubbing manager, voice actor, theater, cinema and television actor, presenter and radio announcer.
He is best known for voicing Lucky Luke and Michael Scofield in the TV series Prison Break, also for voicing Tom Hanks, John Travolta, Tom Cruise, Nicolas Cage, Jason Statham, Jim Carrey, Robert Wagner and Elvis Presley. Before the revolution, he had acted in several movies, including "Zafaf".
Manouchehr Valizadeh was born on June 25, 1940 in Lalehzar neighborhood of Tehran. In the years 1958-1959, i.e. from high school, after several amateur theaters, he made his way to Tehran theater and took a small role in a play directed by Mrs. Morin, and after meeting Mansour Mateen, who was a theater and film dubbing artist, he joined the studio Shahin Film (on Bahar Street), was invited for dubbing, and after working in several short films with him, he was introduced to Professor Ali Kasmaie, with whom he worked as an apprentice for several years, and after a while, he played "Hell Ferrer", the lead role, in the movie "Dokhtar-e Banafsheh Foroush".
In 1961, he was introduced to Amin Amini through Mrs. Taji Ahmadi, (Asr Talai Studio) and his first appearance in the cinema was in the movie "Khodadad". From 1977 to 1978, he acted in nearly 18 movies.
He has co-starred with Behrouz Vossoughi in Gol-e Gomshodeh (1962) and Fereshtehi Dar Khaneye Man (1963) and with Reza Beyk Imanverdi in Haris (1973) and Hayoola (1976). He also acted in Hormat-e Rafiq (1977) and Ba Eshgh Mordan (1978) alongside his dubbing colleague Hossein Erfani, one of the most famous Iranian artists engaged in the art of dubbing.
One of the veterans of the Iranian dubbing art, Valizadeh often voices young characters due to the freshness and pleasant tone of his voice. In one of his interviews he said that his voice has remained young due to continuous work in the profession of dubbing. He also has a background of acting and radio announcing in his work profile.
The character of Jim West, played by Robert Conrad in the TV series The Wild Wild West, gained great popularity in Iran with his voice. Voicing over for Basil Rathbone in the Sherlock Holmes series, Robert De Niro (Young Vito Corleone) in The Godfather II, John Mills (Pip) in Big Dreams and Keanu Reeves in The Matrix trilogy, Michael Scofield in Mentalist (TV series), are among his memorable works as a dubbing artist.
