Dariush Moaddabian (1950, Tehran, Iran)
Dariush Moaddabian (born 1950) is an Iranian film and theater actor, director, screenwriter, and translator.
Moaddabian began his artistic career with the Zahhak Mardush, a Television Theater in 1964.
He began working with the press in 1969 and later translated many plays by world-renowned writers.
He graduated from the Tehran Faculty of Dramatic Arts in 1974 with a degree in acting and theater directing.
In 1980, he received a master's degree in theatrical arts studies from the Sorbonne University in Paris and a master's degree in linguistics from the Paris Institute of Humanities in 1988.
His first experience in filmmaking career was in 1988 as one of the screenwriters of the film The Dust-Dwellers (Ghobar Neshinha).
