Eshaq Khanzadi, known professionally as Ahmad Khanzadi, is a renowned sound recorder, editor, mixer, and technical sound manager in Iranian cinema.
Born in 1950 in Damavand County, Tehran Province, Khanzadi has made a significant mark in the film industry with his exceptional skills and dedication.
Khanzadi began his artistic career as a teenager in 1964, working as a technical staff member at the "Golden Age" studio, managed by Azizollah Kordavani.
By 1966, he had started sound editing alongside Rubik Mansouri and began working independently in 1968.
In 1968, his name appeared for the first time in the credits as a sound editor for the films ‘Seven Girls for Seven Boys’ by Mohammad Motavasseli and ‘Bahram Shirdel’ by Amin Amini.
Throughout his career, he has worked on sound editing for 1,300 feature films, short films, documentaries, reports, and news in Iranian cinema and television.
Some of his most notable works include ‘A Simple Event’ (by Sohrab Shahid-Saless, 1973), ‘Still Life’ (by Sohrab Shahid-Saless, 1975), ‘The Divine One’ (by Khosrow Haritash, 1976), ‘Along the Night’ (by Parviz Sayyad, 1977), ‘Ballad of Tara’ (by Bahram Beizai, 1978), and ‘The Love-Stricken’ (by Ali Hatami, 1991).
Since the 1990s, with the rise of on-set sound recording in Iranian cinema, he has been active in this field and has occasionally been offered acting roles, including a role in the film ‘Mirza Koochak Khan’ (directed by Amir Qavidel, 1983).
Beyond sound, Khanzadi's artistic talents extend to makeup design in the film ‘The Odd People’ (directed by Ebrahim Vahidzadeh, 1987) and music composition for the films ‘Justification’ (directed by Manouchehr Haqaniparast, 1981) and ‘Three Braggarts’ (directed by Hossein Madani, 1965).
Some of the films and series he contributed as a sound designer include 'Saint Mary', 'Strange Sisters', ‘Avicenna’, ‘The Men of Angelos’ 'Down and Out', 'Two and a Half People' 'Superstar' and ‘The Green Journey’.
