Synopsis According to a long standing tradition, a rich man of the city makes Dash Akol the guardian of his family at his deathbed. When the middle-aged Dash Akol falls in love with the young daughter of the deceased man, Kaka Rostam decides he has found the chance he had been looking for and challenges Dash Akol. -- IMDb
Kimiai based this picture on a short story by Sadegh Hedayat (1903-1951), the world-famous Iranian writer whose works reflect affinities with those of Franz Kafka .Cast: Behrouz Vossoughi , Manoucher Ahmadi, Mary Apick , Jahangir Forouhar , Bahman Mofid Cinematography: Nemat Haghighi Set in the city of Shiraz during the period of the decline of Qajar dynasty in Iran, Dash Akol (1971) tells the story of a free fighter who is respected and trusted by the people. Dash Akol's rival is Kaka Rostam who uses the sword to terrorize people and extort money from them. Kaka Rostam knows that Dash Akol can be destroyed only when people's trust in him undermined.
