Kandu | Beehive (1975)
Synopsis Recently have been released from jail, Ebi makes a bet with his Friend that he goes and drinks in seven bars without even paying a penny. The film is about trying to survive the dangerous game of of Tornabazi (truth or dare) on the tough streets of Tehran.
Couple of drifters, fresh from prison, wonder the harsh streets of Tehran looking hopelessly for their uncertain future. The young and the restless of the two (Behrouz Vossoughi ) has contempt for the outside life and wishes to get in trouble so he can go back to jail again. The older on (Davoud Rashidi ) challenges him to the game of Torna. A game in which anything goes. The bet is for the trouble maker to walk into every bar on a long block, order a drink, and refuse to pay (no matter what..). The bet is heartless and the last bar seems so far away. What follows is a very interesting movie about a lost soul in a city with no compassion and a game that ends up deadly. --IMDbCast: Reza Karam Rezai, Ezatallah Ramezanifar, Davoud Rashidi , Parvin Soleimani , Behrouz Vossoughi Cinematography: Hamid Mojtahedi, Fereydun Reypoor
