Hamid Jebelli (October 2, 1958, Tehran, Iran)
Hamid Jebelli or Hamid Jebeli (born October 2, 1958) is an Iranian stage and film actor, director, voice actor and screenwriter.
He was born in Tehran, Iran. He has directed two films; Khab-e Sefid ('White Dream') and Pesar-e Maryam ('Son of Mary').
Hamid Jebelli has attended the film and theater training courses of the Institute for the Intellectual Development of Children and Young Adults (Kanoon) at 12.
He is also the voice actor of Iranian famous puppet character, Kolah Ghermezi. His notable films as actor include Mother, Shadow of Imagination, Ey Iran, Del Shodegan, Kolah Ghermezi and Pesar Khaleh, and Kolah Ghermezi and Bache Naneh.
He made several 8mm films before starting his professional career as an actor.
He is one of most popular actors of the country and a prolific figure in the Iranian cinema, theater and TV programs as actor, director, script-writer, still photographer, puppet-player and dubber.
Son of Maryam (1998) is his first feature film. It was chosen as the best film in Cairo Film Festival.
