Hamid Ne’matollah's film debut was as Mas'ood Kimiaee’s assistant in “Feast”.
He made his first film “Boutique” in 2003. “Boutique” was nominated for Best Film at the Iran Cinema Celebration Awards.
He received a Certificate of Merit from the Fajr International Film Festival for Best Screenplay for “Down and Out”.
“[Abbas Kiarostami ] was a true filmmaker. He made films that he believed in. If filmgoers liked it, all the better. And if they didn't, he was doing what he wanted to do. In my opinion this is the ideal way of making films.”
