Khosrow Sinai (December 30, 1940, Sari, Mazandaran, Iran)
Born in Sari in 1940. High school certificate from Alborz School (Tehran) in 1958, and going to Austria for further education.
Graduated in film direction and screen writing from the Academy of the Dramatic Arts in Vienna, and theory of music from the Vienna Conservatoire.
After his return to Iran, began his cinematic activity at the former Ministry of Culture and Art, and then began to collaborate with the National Television in 1973.
Recognized more as a documentary film maker on account of his numerous short and feature length documentaries (making about 100 short films, documentaries, and features).
He has been a Juror in several national and foreign film festivals.
His latest feature, "In the Alleys of Love" (1990), is structured on a narrative- documentary format, and has been screened at many festivals.
Sinai wrote the scripts for most of his pictures and also composed musical scores.
