Ali Vazirian _{(1960, Tehran, Iran)}

Ali Vazirian was born in Tehran and studied Painting at Tehran University Faculty of Fine Arts.

He initially designed film posters. Vazirian is a professor of Art, and the founder of the International Annual of Typography Poster exhibition.

He has published a number of books on Graphic Design. In recent years, he has seriously pursued filmmaking and aside from serving on the panel of jury of international film festivals, he has won a number of international awards.

In 2007, he won a Certificate of Merit at the Fajr International Film Festival for “God is Close”.

Three years later, he won the Golden Butterfly of the International Festival of Films for Children and Young Adults for “A Span of Heaven”.
