Aliyar Rasti (January 18, 1988, Tehran, Iran)
Aliyar Rasti was born on January 18, 1988 in Tehran.
He started out as a visual artist and has since ventured off into filmmaking.
His first short film was “In Between” (2018), which won the Best Short Film of the year at the prestigious 35th Tehran International Short Film Festival and the Best Debut Film at the 16th Tirana International Film Festival in Albania.
“America” (2020) is his second short film.
The film "Great Yawn" (2023) is his debut Feature Film that is present in the Encounters line-up section of the 74th Berlin International Film Festival 2024.
