Farahnaz Sharifi (March 8, 1979, Tehran, Iran)
Farahnaz Sharifi is known for My Stolen Planet (2024), Profession: Documentarist (2013) and Revolutionary Memories of Bahman Who Loved Leila (2012).
With six award winning documentaries, Farahnaz Sharifi is one of the most successful documentary filmmakers of the youngest generation of the Iranian cinematography.
The Iranian writer, director and editor now lives in Germany. She studied film at Soore University in Tehran and began her career directing a number of internationally acclaimed short documentaries.
With Radiograph of a Family, she won the award for Best Editing at the International Documentary Film Festival Amsterdam in 2020.
She wrote, filmed, directed and edited her debut feature-length documentary My Stolen Planet (Sayyareye dozdide shodeye man).
