Zari Khoshkam _{(December 30, 1947 - May 17, 2024)}

Zahra Hatami was an Iranian actress born 1947 in Isfahan as Zahra Khoshkam.

Zahra "Zari" Khoshkam was previously married to Ali Hatami and is the mother of Leila Hatami.

Khoshkam studied in Tehran and London and completed a four-year ballet course at the Iranian National Ballet Organization. Her passion and interest for artistic works first opened the door for her to dancing and in this way she completed a training course in ballet dance and after that she was attracted to the world of cinema in 1971 at the age of 24.

Most of her film activities go back to the first two years of her career in cinema in 1971 and 1972. In those years, although she acted in famous and artistic films such as Adamak by Khosrow Haritash, Topoli by Reza Mirlohi and Suitor by Ali Hatami. But in general, due to the conditions of Iranian cinema in those days and the spread of violence in movies, she represented a special character (seductive woman). Her movie character changed after her marriage with Ali Hatami, and after that her presence in cinema became less. In the years after the 1979 revolution, her activities became rather restricted to a few appearances in three films and a couple of television series that were somehow related to her husband and family.

She started with dance and ballet classes. In 1971, she appeared in her first film, "Kolbei aansoo-ye roodkhane" (A Shack on the Other Side of the River) by Ahmad Shirazi.

In 1997 Khoshkam appeared in Ali Hatami's "World Champion Takhti" (Takhti), a film that after his death, was taken over by Behrouz Afkhami (A drama based on the life of Gholmareza Takhti, the famous Iranian wrestler).

In 2008 she had an appearance in Ali Mossafa's Simay-e Zani Dar Dourdast (Portrait of a Lady Far Away).
