Parvindokht Yazdanian (March 25, 1927 - April 5, 2011)
Parvindokht (Fateme) Yazdanian was an Iranian film and television actress and mother of Kioumars Pourahmad, a prominent Iranian filmmaker.
In 1991, she started acting by playing the role of Bibi - as Majid's grandmother - in the television series Majid's Tales, directed by Kioumars Pourahmad.
Then, in 1992, she entered the cinema by appearing in the films "The next Morning" and "Shame".
Yazdanian won the honorary diploma for the best supporting actress from the 11th Fajr Film Festival for her role in The Next Morning.
Among her other appearances, we can mention Bread and Poetry (1993), Mehrie Bibi (Bibi's Dowry) (1994), Strange Sisters (1995), The Longest Night (2001) and tv series 'The Clue'.
Parvindokht Yazdanian died on April 5, 2011 as a result of suffering from Alzheimer's disease.
