Asghar Semsarzadeh (March 21, 1936, Tehran, Iran)
Born 1936 in Tehran, Asghar Samsarzadeh is an Iranian theater, cinema, and television actor.
He started his acting career in 1969 with an appearance in the movie "A Girl is going to Die Tonight" and then in Dariush Mehrjui's "Mr. Simpleton" (1970).
Semsarzadeh, as one of the old theater, cinema and television actors, worked as a member of the Oscar theater group and then started to work professionally in Davoud Rashidi group called "People's Theater".
Although he is known for his comedic roles, but fans of serious shows also remember his appearance in the plays of Gholamhossein Saedi, such as Parvarbandan, and Dikte va Zavieh.
This old and well-known actor played more than 20 films between 1969 and 1978. But the revolution in 1979 and the changes that happened pushed him to the sidelines like many others; But Semsarzadeh tried to remain active in this field first by acting in Lalezaar theaters and then by playing small and large roles on television and sometimes in movies. He has also been active in the Friday morning radio program in the years after the revolution.
But he owes his fame to Khane Bedoosh tv series and the character of Asghar Taragheh, which made him a familiar and famous face.
