Ahdieh (September 21, 1949, Tehran, Iran)
Ahdieh (born on September 21, 1949 in Tehran) is one of the singers of authentic Iranian music.
Ahdieh Badiee was born 1949 in Tehran. Her father is from Sehzab village of Sarab city. Ahdieh has been singing in family gatherings since she was five or six years old. With her mother's encouragement, guidance, and perseverance, she made her way to Radio Iran and the children's program at the age of 8. At that time, the singers of the children's program sang the songs of the older singers, but their lyrics were changed and were written according to the mood of the children.
Ahdieh sang about 200 songs for children. The orchestra of the children's program that accompanied her was composed of the best and most artistic people who collaborated for free and only for the love of music. Including Soren, a composer who played several different instruments well: violin, banjo, mandolin, piano and accordion. Varoujan, who usually played the double bass and had an interest in pop music. Manouchehr Biglari who played the trumpet. Andranik was a pianist and Nicole Alvandi a jazz musician.
Nicole's daughters, Alice and Bella, were also good singers in the children's program, as well as Sima Bina, who was older than Ahdieh. Ahdieh's mother was not only always her companion and guide, but also sang the lyrics of Ahdieh's songs for the children's program. The head of the children's program at that time was Davoud Pirnia, and the classical programs of Golha were also prepared under his initiative and supervision. Davoud Pirnia told Ahdieh from the beginning that when she grew up, she would sing in Golha programs, and that is what happened, she performed the first Golha program (No. 328) at the age of 14. From the age of 13-14, she started singing in another program called Youth and sang almost 30 songs for this program.
She graduates with a bachelor's degree in accounting. At the same time, she manages to learn solfege (note reading) in private music classes. Her teacher of solfege was Ali Derari.
One of her remarkable enterprises was her cooperation with Iranian cinema. Since she was a teenager, her voice was accompanied with brilliant faces in Persian films, including: Foruozan, Pouri Banai, Azar Shiva, Katayoun, Franak Mirghahari, Fariba Khatami, Jamileh, Marjan, Shahnaz Tehrani, Shoorangiz Tabatabai..
At age 19 she participates in the Shiraz International Festival, called the Shiraz Art Festival, as one of the best singers of Radio Iran. This festival was organized by Farah Pahlavi, the queen of Iran, and some of the famous artists of the world, including Yehudi Menuhin. Ahdieh and Mr. Abdol Wahab Shahidi were chosen by Radio Iran's Golha program to perform in that festival in Shiraz. Iranian programs were performed in Hafeziyeh and Sadiyeh, which were prepared for this purpose.
After completing her university education, she served in the Women's Knowledge Corps for 2 years with the rank of an officer, but simultaneously she also continued to pursue her artistic activities with great perseverance in those years.
According to Ahdieh, she performed 55 songs for Golha programs and nearly 300 songs in various styles for Radio Iran, as well as more than 700 songs for Persian films in many styles, which she still sings under the name Ahdieh. Ahdieh has never performed as singer in private parties or cabarets in Tehran.
