Iran Daftari (1907 – 1996)
Iran Daftari (Born 1907 in Rasht) was an Iranian cinema and theater actress.
Iran Daftari's cinematic career begins with the movie Shirin and Farhad, produced and made in India by Abdolhossein Sepanta in 1935. Her first theatrical appearance was in Arshin Malalan in 1929.
Daftari's most notanle role in her entire acting career was in the movie Gheisar directed by Masoud Kimiai, in which she played the role of Gheisar's mother.
She is also the winner of an award from the Sepas Iranian Film Festival.
Iran Daftari died on Saturday 16 March 1996 at the age of 88 due to old age and her body was buried in Behesht Zahra Cemetery's artists' plot.
