Lili Farhadpour (1961, Tehran, Iran)
Lili Farhadpour (born in 1961) is an Iranian actress, writer, journalist and women's rights activist.
She studied communication sciences and journalism. Along with her studies, she continued to write and translate English texts.
She started her acting career starring in Please Don't Disturb a movie directed by Mohsen Abdolvahab. She has acted in many movies and series. She married Masrour Tonekaboni and has a child named Behrang. Behrang is the editor of Farhang and Ahang magazine.
In addition to writing and acting, Lily Farhadpour is also the responsible director of "Up Art Man" Institute. This institution is a cultural and artistic institution whose license belongs to Manijeh Hekmat and it is headed by Pegah Ahangarani, a young film and television actor.
Following the widespread arrests of political and social activists and journalists after Ashura 2009, Lily Farhadpour was arrested on 21 January 2010. 15 days earlier, his son Behrang was arrested while he was summoned to the Revolutionary Court to give some explanations.
His crime was not clearly stated, but the Tehran prosecutor, explaining the arrest of several other people who were arrested at the same time as Lily Farhadpour, stated that the reason for the arrest was communication with the Committee of Human Rights Reporters. At first, a 50 million Iranian tomans bail was issued for him. But according to reports, he was finally released from Evin prison on March 13, 2010 after posting a bail of 90 million tomans.
