Parastoo Salehi (born October 31, 1977, in Tehran) is an Iranian actress, make-up trainer, and social activist, performing since 1996.
She is a make-up graduate with late maestro "Farhang Moayeri," and besides acting, she also instructs make-up for her trainees.
Salehi has a background performing for the greatest Iranian directors, such as Asghar Farhadi, Bahman Farmanara, and Masoud Kimai.
She started her artistic career in 1996 with theater work and played her first major role in Mohakemeh (The Trial), a tv-series from 1998 directed by Hassan Hedayat. She was introduced to the art of acting by her make-up teacher Farhang Moayeri, with whom she also took a make-up course.
She got her breakthrough role in the 2001 tv-series Zire Asemane Shahr (Under the City Sky).
On 16 September 2022, in protest against the crimes of the Islamic regime, Salehi released a video in which she considered the murder of Jina Mahsa Amini to be the signature of the death certificate of the Islamic Republic, and expressed her hope that one day to celebrate the fall of this regime with the tired Iranian people in Azadi (Shahyad) Square. In the video she published, Salehi spoke with anger and carried a paper with "No to the Islamic Republic" written on it.
