At the age of 9, due to the family's mastery of the accordion, one of Azerbaijan's musical instruments, his father bought him an accordion and he started learning accordion and musical notes from a private teacher.
At the age of 11 (1955), his father enrolled him in the Tehran Conservatory of Music, where he studied music with professors such as Yousefzadeh (orchestra conductor, head of the Conservatory of Music at that time), Kamal Pourtorab (director of the Conservatory of Music between the years 1971 and 1973), and Emanuel Malik Aslanian (one of the known professors of Tehran University and High Music Academy). His main instrument in the conservatory was the piano. For several years, he studied piano privately with Aslanian in classical style.
The songs Gelaye-ha with the voice of Dariush, Kolbe Man (Ebi), Bibi Gol (Moein), Khoob Man (Mahesti), Shabe Por Setareh (Homeyra), Shazde Khanoom (Sattar) and Talagh by Googoosh are among his famous songs as composer.
