Nasser Gitijah (March 23, 1935 - April 8, 2014)
Nasser Gitijah (born March 23, 1935, Tehran - died April 8, 2014, Tehran) was a veteran Iranian cinema and television actor.
He received an honorary diploma for best supporting actor from the 30th Iranian Fajr Film Festival.
Gitijah had a degree in acting under the supervision of Rafi Halati, Mehdi Namdar and Esmail Mehrtash.
He started his artistic career in 1958 by beginning to work as an actor in "Barbad Society" and private television programs and by performing live shows. He made his movie debut in 1973.
He was the first actor after the revolution to play the role of Mohammad Reza Shah Pahlavi in the series "Table Tookhali" and after that he repeated this role again in the telefilm "Falling" directed by Mohammad Reza Varzi.
He appeared in several series, including ‘Aunt Sara’ (1992), ‘Heroes Don't Die’ (1995-1997), ‘Tehran License Plate 11’ (1997), ‘All My Children’ (1997), ‘Tomorrow's Too Late’ (1997), ‘Born Again’ (1998), ‘The Tenth Night’ (2001), ‘Network’ (2002), ‘Aqaqiya Alley’ (2003), ‘For the Last Time’ (2005), ‘Habib's Happy Days’ (2006-2007), ‘Years of Snow and Violet’ (2007), ‘Goodbye Child’ (2012), and ‘All My Family’ (2012-2013).
He also acted in several movies such as ‘Retribution’ (1987), ‘The Courtship’ (1989), ‘An Endless Night’ (1999), ‘Dad's Guest’ (2009), ‘The Rain Drop’ (2009), and ‘The Two Brothers’ (2010).
