Late August, Early September | Fin août, début septembre (1998)
Synopsis
Thirtysomething Gabriel is in romantic transition from Jenny to Anne, while at his job as a literary editor much of his time and emotional energy is spent on his slightly older friend Adrien, a formerly “promising” novelist whose recent output fails to match the critical and commercial success of his earlier work.
As Adrien’s physical illness becomes more and more pronounced, the small world of Gabriel and his circle of friends is put into delicate emotional perspective. –Inbaseline
