Le Franc (1994, 46′, DCP) This comic fable focuses on the Chaplinesque figure of poverty-stricken musician Marigo.
Like Mambéty’s other work Le Franc is both a reflection on the effects of Western economic restrictions on Africa and a highly symbolic, humane drama.
