A British author suffering from a writing block seeks inspiration and solitude at her publisher’s house in the South of France.
When his daughter unexpectedly appears, her reckless, erotic lifestyle disrupts the author’s quietude. Their tumultuous interactions set off a series of disturbing events.

Swimming Pool premiered at the Cannes Film Festival on 18 May 2003, and was released theatrically in France three days later with a U cinema rating, meaning it was deemed suitable for all ages.
