Synopsis

An Iranian girl unfolds her school memories by going through the folds and fabrics of her old uniform.

She admits that she's nothing but a female and explores the roots of this idea in her school years.

This film is a social satire about the clothing conventions imposed on young children.

Our Uniform is a 2023 Iranian stop-motion animated short film written, directed, and produced by Yegane Moghaddam in her directorial debut. The film documents Moghaddam's experience with hijab, using the hijab itself as a canvas for animation.

Our Uniform premiered on 6 May 2023 at Spain's Animayo International Film Festival , where it won the Grand Jury Prize and the Award for Best Mixed Technique. It also won the Jean-Luc Xiberras Award for a First Film at the 2023 Annecy International Animation Film Festival. The film was nominated for Best Animated Short Film at the 96th Academy Awards.
