Synopsis

Complicated entanglements occur in a border village when an exiled Iranian teacher finds himself helping a refugee Afghan family fleeing the Taliban.

Ahmad, a passionate Iranian teacher who uses education as a means to wage war against ignorance and prejudice, realizes the lack of love in his own life after meeting the Hazara tribe of Afghanistan.

Endless Borders is a gripping drama in which danger lurks literally everywhere: within the family, amid the area’s ethnic and religious tensions, and inside the politically repressive regime. --KVIFF

The film, told in dozens of shades of gray, is set amidst an expansive mountain landscape that nevertheless feels claustrophobic.
