Synopsis
Author of Nakhoda Khorshid (Captain Khorshid), awarded the LÊopard de bronze at Locarno in 1988, Iranian Nasser Taghvai shot Pish (Palm Leaf) in the world's largest palm grove, in the south of Iran.
In this medium-length documentary, the filmmaker describes the whole civilisation generated by the palm grove and shows us the ancient art associated with it - basketwork.
In doing so, he also reveals its ephemeral nature: the matting wears out quickly and crumbles into dust...
