Daughters Of The Sun - Dokhtarane Khorshid (2000)
Synopsis
Amangol is a poor young woman. To help her find a well-paying job, all the while protecting her virtue, her father shaves Amangol's head and disguises her as a man.
Amangol changes her name, puts on men's clothing and finds employment at a carpet factory where most of the workers are women.
Her status as a man allows her to get a better -- and better-paying -- job than the others and to send back the much-needed money to her family.
Amangol must remain cautious and secretive. Her precarious situation cannot tolerate even the slightest indiscretion.
She works hard but isn't spared rebuke and humiliation by her supervisor. Truly complicating matters for Amangol, however, is the attention she is getting from another young woman worker.
Perhaps charmed by Amangol's gentle demeanour, Belgheis has developed a crush on the young man. -- Telegraphe.com
