I Want to Live | Mikhaham zende bemanam (1995)

Synopsis

Misunderstandings between a couple leads to divorce after eleven years of their married life and the fact that they have a 10-year-old son.

Sometimes later the man marries a girl from a middle-class family who believes in tra- ditional values.

The step-mother, who treats her step-son with kindness, finds the boy's life less body in the bathroom on a summer morn- ing. Circumstantial evidences points to the murder of the boy by the step-mother.

She is tried and found guilty of murder and is con- demned to death. the verdict is in keeping the public view which considers her a ruthless murderer.

There doesn't seem to be any hope for the woman, but her husband who is a lawyer, believes his wife is innocent and de- cides to prove it.
