Rouhollah Hejazi (1979, Abadan, Iran)
Born in 1979 in Abadan, Iran, Rouhollah Hejazi directed and produced a number of short films.
His short film The Moon Faced was honoured at the Minsk International Film Festival in Belarus in 2006.
He was born in Abadan in the southern part of Iran, near the Iraqi border. It was one of the cities touched a lot by the Iraqis during the 8 years of the Iraq-Iran war.
"I was only one-and-a-half years old when I had to leave Abadan, but it was always a wish for me to make my first film there, in that part of Iran".
He made his first debut feature named "Among the Clouds" (Dar Miane Abrha) in 2007. This movie won Crystal Simorgh Prize for Best First Film Director in the 26th International Fajr Film.
"Among the Clouds" was displayed on the stage in festivals of Palm Springs of America, Rotterdam of the Netherlands, Alba of Italy, Vancouver of Canada, Titanic of Hungary, Posan of South Korea and UCLA University.
"The Private Life of Mr. & Mrs. M" (Zendegi Khosousi Agha va Khanoum M .) is The second cinematographic work of Rouhollah Hejazi.
