Changiz Jalilvand (October 29, 1935 - November 22, 2020)
Changiz Jalilvand (October 29, 1935 - November 22, 2020) was an Iranian dubbing artist, dubbing manager, and actor.
He was born 1935 in Shariz, Iran. He is known for dubbing for Fardin in King of the Hearts (Soltan ghalbha), Ganje Gharoon, Baba Shamal, Ghasre Zarrin, Khoshgele Khoshgela, Hatame Tayee, and for Behrouz Vossoughi in Beehive (Kandu), Deshneh, The Pigeon (Toghi), Zabih and Hamsafar, for Saeed Rad in Safare Sang, for Jamshid Mashayekhi in Broken Hearts (Sooteh Delan), and for Bahman Mofid in Namahram, Heidar, Sahereh and Rashid.
He started his artistic career in Iranian cinema and theater together with Abolhasan Tahami in 1957.
After the 1979 revolution, Jalilvand choose to live in the United States of America for twenty years and then returned to Iran and started working as voice actor in 1998. He has also acted in several television series and movies.
Jalilvand's voice had given him the ability to play the main characters with cinematic strength and power. He was able to make types in his speeches and could create different sounds. He was known as "the man with the golden throat" and "Iranian dubbing Maestro" among the dubbers.
In 1978, he was mentioned as a world-class dubbing artist. He voiced over many famous foreign and domestic actors as a solid dubbing actor. He was the main narrator of Marlon Brando's roles with his creative styling.
Among Jalilvand's most famous voiceovers in foreign films are dubbing for Marlon Brando, Paul Newman, Burt Lancaster, Maximilian Schell, Richard Burton, Peter O'Toole, Yul Brynner, Clint Eastwood, Dean Martin, Sylvester Stallone, Liam Neeson, Johnny Depp, Robert Downey Jr., and in Iranian cinema, for Mohammad Ali Fardin, Behrouz Vossoughi, Nasser Malek Matiee, Iraj Ghaderi and Saeed Rad.
Changiz Jalilvand died on December 2, 2019 due to corona virus in a hospital in Tehran.
