Jafar Vali (1933 - December 17, 2016)
Jafar Vali (born in 1933 - died on December 17, 2016) was a, Iranian theater director, actor and screenwriter.
Vali was born in Tehran in 1933. From 1951, he started acting professionally. Vali was the first person who performed a play by Bahram Beizai and Gholamhossein Saedi.
In the following years, he tried acting and played in films such as Nakhoda Khorshid.
Jafar Vali, who had been admitted to Tehran Clinic Hospital since December 18, 2015 due to lung disease, died on Saturday, December 17, 2016, after being hospitalized for 9 days. His body was buried in artists' segment of Tehran's Behesht-e Zahra cemetery next to Davood Rashidi, another celebrated veteran Iranian cinema and theatre actor.
Mahmoud Dolatabadi also read a poem and said: "No one talks about the years of indifference that Vali and other artists suffered, and I don't talk either."
