Ahoo Kheradmand (September 5, 1950, Tehran, Iran)
Ahoo Kheradmand or Ahu Kheradmand (born on September 5, 1950 in Tehran) is an Iranian theater and cinema actress and translator.
She is the younger sister of Niku Kheradmand, an actor and dubbing artist, and a graduate of the Faculty of Dramatic Arts.
Kheradmand started her artistic career in 1968 by appearing on the stage in the shows "Khosro and Shirin", "Ofoul" and "The Magnificent Smile of Mr. Gil" (by Akbar Raadi) and her career in television in 1971 by starring in “Adam and Eve” tv series directed by Masoud Asadollahi.
Among other TV series in this period, in which she starred, were "Khalil Dah Marde Passage", "Divorce" and "Dar Gozare Ashegh".
Kheradmand then began acting as a film actress in 1976 with the movie "Pesar-e Iran az madarash bikhabar ast" directed by Fereydoun Rahnema ; this was the last movie she starred before the 1979 revolution.
In 1984 Kheradmand left Iran and lived in America and Canada for nearly two decades. In these years, she appeared in several shows and television series. Then she returned to Iran in 2002 and pursued her artistic activity as a painter.
She has been the Best Actress Nominee in Fajr Film Festival for “We Are All Fine" (Ma Hameh Khoubim, 2005) by Bijan Mirbagheri and “Beautiful City” directed by Asghar Farhadi from Fajr Film Festival. Her most notable activities are “Eternal Children” by Pouran Derakhshandeh, “The Mirror Candlestick” by Bahram Bahramian, “Porteghal Khooni” by Sirous Alvand, “Gheseye Pariya” Fereydoun Jeirani and “There's Always a Woman in Between” directed by Kamal Tabrizi.
The song "Ahoo Khanoum" by Martik's voice is a song in praise of Ahoo Kheradmand, written by her husband Mahmoud Ostad Mohammad.
