Masoud Asadollahi (1944 - August 10, 2022)
Masoud Asadollahi is an iranian director, producer and film and television actor known for movies such as Ali Konkouri (1973), Hamsafar (1975) and Qarantineh (1982).
He was born in 1323 in Tehran. He began acting in theater since the age of 18 and then entered the Faculty of Dramatic Arts.
He continued his acting career in television in 1967 during his studies.
In 1968 he appeared for the first time in the cinema by starring in Naser Taghvai's film "Tranquility in the presence of others".
He is most famous for directing the films companion (Hamsafar) (played by Googoosh and Behrouz Vossoughi) and Ali Konkoori (played by Behrouz Vossoughi) and for directing and acting in the TV series Divorce.
After the banning of his work in the eighties as a result of the Islamic revolution in Iran in 1979, he moved first to Europe and then to America.
Masoud Asadollahi lived in Los Angeles and died in this city after a long battle with a serious illness. Two months before his death, he had announced on his Facebook that he had been hospitalized again.
