Synopsis
A documentary about the Hasanlu chalice, which becomes the story of Halladj.
"The Hasanlu Chalice" is about the Hasanlou All-Gold Bowl, discovered by an American group led by the archaeologist Robert H. Dyson in 1957.
The film consists of scenes from bowl's motifs while the narrator reads from Passion of Al-Halladj of the Tazkirat al-Awliyā by Attar of Nishapur while the soundtrack consists of Rappresentatione di Anima, et di Corpo by Emilio de' Cavalieri.
The Golden bowl of Hasanlu is a historical object made of gold. It was discovered by Robert H. Dyson in 1957 while excavating the site of Teppeh Hasanlu, near the city of Naghadeh, northwest of Iran. The bowl is estimated to be around 3200 years or older.
