Kambuzia Partovi said about his choice of the actor for this film: "If I had to go back, I would choose Behrouz Vossoughi as the main actor and the location would be Turkey. But when the time came for the making the movie, my first choice was Saeed Aghakhani, and because of my previous acquaintance and cooperation with him and his Kurdish origin, this choice was confirmed."

Camion received a Crystal Simorgh for best screenplay at the 36th Fajr International Film Festival.
