From Karche to Rheine | Az Karkheh ta Rhein (1993)
Synopsis
Saeed is part of a group of Iranian veterans of the war with Iraq who have traveled to Cologne, Germany for treatment of their wounds.
Tragically, he was rendered blind by chemical weapons when he gave his gasmask to a wounded soldier during an attack.
In Cologne, he is visited by his sister who lives there with her German husband and son. Having been apart for 12 years, brother and sister share a strong nostalgia for the past, even as the effects of war make their reunion bittersweet.
Saeed who is suffering from injuries that he received in the Iran-Iraq War, is sent to Germany for treatments. In Germany, he meets his sister and her German husband.
Saeed and his sister who have not had any relations in many years try to re-establish the close relationship that they had long time ago. -- IMDb
