Majid Entezami (March ?th, 1948, Tehran, Iran)
Majid Entezami (b. March ?th, 1948, Tehran, Iran) is an Iranian musician and composer.
He was born in 1947 to a family fond of art. He began his academic studies in the field of music in Tehran Conservatory and then traveled to West Germany to continue his higher education at the Berlin State University.
He was a student of such prominent professors as Carl Stein and Luther Kokh.
He returned to Iran in 1974 and started his cooperation with the Tehran Symphonic Orchestra.
Simultaneously, he taught music at the Tehran University and the Music College.
He began composing film music with the short film `Zaal and Simorgh' (Zaal and Phoenix) and the feature film `The Journey of the Stone'.
He also made music for other feature films including `Sitting in the Sun', `Senator', `High School', `Kani Manga', 'Peddler' `Yellow Like Canari', `Bicyclist' and so on.
He won several prizes in Fajr International Film Festival for composing soundtracks of movies such as The Cyclist, Az Karkheh Ta Rhein, Bouye Pirahane Yousef, The Glass Agency, and many more.
His father is the great Iranian actor, Ezzatolah Entezami.
