Synopsis

Please Don't Disturb is a movie that probes deep into the inner intricacies of the values and convictions of mankind; Please Don’t Disturb is the directorial debut of Mohsen Abdolvahab.

With documentary-like objective camera angles, the cinema subtly transpires into three different stories connected with an underlying thread.



Please Don’t Disturb beautifully elucidates how seemingly insignificant incidents in our life can call for the pulverization of the ethics and convictions of human life,and that at the same time how easily they can be compromised.

The first story is about the wife of an abstract TV host who has announced for divorce against domestic violence, and her husband pursuing her to withdraw her decision.

A Muslim scholar loses his most valuable documents and with great perseverance tries to retrieve them. An old couple is wary of repairing their dilapidated house but is all the more disturbed as to how they can let a stranger get into the precincts of their ‘warm’ home.

All these stories are wonderfully interweaved to give an enlightening view of one wholly new perspective to the audience. -- IFFK
