A scriptwriter who can’t convince the company to produce his movie, decides to operate it in real life.
With a special fascination with 8-mm film, he makes a short film 'Spectre of Scorpion', and then intends to remake it as a full-length feature film, but the lack of facilities is an obstacle for him.
The love of cinema and the frustration resulting from his failed endeavors eventually lead him to have the story performed in real life.
"Spectre of Scorpion" was not my final choice; a number of scripts, including "The Mirzakhani Castle," were among those that were rejected along with several other scripts I had written, and finally "Spectre of Scorpion" was allowed to be made, and at the time I was told that writing this script was a reward for the award for "Dust Devil" at the FajrFilm Festival. I made "Spectre of Scorpion" with passion, and an important event that happened along with making the film was that on-stage sound recording entered Iranian cinema. --Kianoush Ayari (ISNA)
