Fereydoon Jeyrani (February 10, 1951, Kashmar, Iran)

Writer | Director | Producer

Born 1951 in Kashmar. He started his artistic career in 1972 in the theaters of the Khorassan province.

In 1973 he became a member of the Mashhad Free Cinema.

He started his work in the press before the revolution in Ettela'at newspaper and for a while was the managing editor of the Gozaresh-e Film magazine and following that was the assistant editor of Hafteh Nameh-eh Cinema.

His started his career in cinema with the writing of the Aftabneshinha screenplay and made So-ood in 1987.

After a gap of 10 years he entered a new era of his professional career with the making of Ghermez (Red). Ab-va-Atash (Fire and Water) is Jeirani's third film.
