Naser Cheshmazar (December 31, 1950 - May 4, 2018)
Naser Cheshmazer was an Iranian musician and composer. He is the brother of Manuchehr Cheshmazer.
Naser Cheshmazar is known for 'Rain of Love/Barane Eshgh' and his score on the films Ejareh-Nesheenha/The Tenants (1986), 'Hamoun' (1990), 'Superstar' (2009), 'An Sooy-e Bonbast' (2012)..
He was awarded with diploma of Honour at the Fajr Film Festival for 'Gashte Ershad' (2012) and received an Honourable mention for best original score in a film at the Idyllwild International Festival of Cinema for the film 'An Sooye Bonbast' (2012).
At age 12 he enters the Radio Iran's Azerbaijan Orchestra and at age 13 he recieves a special prize for playing accordion.
He begins his official career at age 18. Then he travels to america where he improves his jazz music career and composes music for films.
At age 20, he took an elementary course on jazz music in the United States. The young Naser also served great masters like Morteza Hannaneh and Emmanowêl Melik-Aslanean.
In 1978, he again took a five-year course on jazz plus film score in the United States. Thereafter, he became a pioneer in introducing electronic musical instruments into the musical scene of Iran.
Cheshmazar's first step in his long path of film score was his collaboration in a movie called Taraj / The Invasion directed by Iraj Ghaderi.
