Saeed Roostaei (born 1989, Tehran) is an Iranian young director and screenwriter.
After graduating from Soore University with a Bachelor in Film and Television, study area Directing, Saeed ROUSTAEE (1989, Iran) made his feature debut Life and a Day in 2015, which won awards at several film festivals.
His films primarily focuses on social injustice within Iranian society. For his second feature Just 6.5, Roustaee won the Best Director Award at the Tokyo International Film Festival in 2019.
His movie, Life plus 1 Day (Abad va Yek Rooz) that is his first directorial feature film, has been noticed by many critics, and been well received by the public as well.
