Director Ida Panahandeh's follow-up to the brilliant Nahid has screened at the London Film Festival and the Fajr Film Festival where it premiered.
The widowed Mahi (Hadieh Tehrani) loses her only son, a wrestling champion who died in a car accident. Behrooz (Pejman Bazeghi), her teenage sweetheart, who had left Iran following the scandal of his relationship with her, appears at the funeral. The relationship shows signs of resuming but Behrooz now has a much younger fiancé.
Despite the objections of their respective families, the two seem to pick up where they left off but Mahi soon discovers that Behrooz is emotionally engaged with a young woman, Sara.
Having spent her entire life taking care of her sick mother, Sara plans to marry Behrooz and emigrate to Canada.
On the horns of these emotional entanglements the three characters have to make decisions not only about their emotions, but also their future lives.
