Mehtab Nasirpour is an Iranian cinema and theatre actress and producer born on December 20, 1965 in Kazeroon, Fars.
She is an award winning actress best known for acting in I'm Taraneh, 15, Child of the Soil, In the name of Father, and Orca.
Nasirpour won the Crystal Simorgh Award for Best Supporting Actress at the Fajr Film Festival for her roles in "In the name of Father" (2006) and Child of the Soil (2008).
She obtained a bachelor's degree in acting and theater directing from the Faculty of Fine Arts of Tehran University in 1992.
Nasirpour made her acting debut in the theater in 1986 with the play "Accident in Autumn Morning" and in the cinema with the movie Travelers (Mosaferan) in 1992. She then studied acting at Islamic Azad University.
In 2004, she won the Crystal Simorgh for Best Supporting Actress for "In the name of Father" in the 24th Fajr Film Festival, and again, in 2007, for Child of The Soil for the second time in the 26th Fajr Film Festival.
Mahtab Nasirpour received an honorary diploma as best actress in the first television productions festival in 1995 for A Murder Mystery, a TV show by Hassan Fathi.
Nasirpour's husband is Mohammad Rahmanian, a playwright and theater and television director.
