Nemat Haghighi (May 25, 1939 - April 28, 2010)
Nemat Haghighi (May 25, 1939 - April 28, 2010) was a an Iranian cinematographer.
Haghigi was considered one of the leading Iranian cinematographers with a special style and method.
Haghighi started his career as an assistant cameraman in 1958 with "South of The City" directed by Farrokh Ghaffari.
He has collaborated with directors such as Bahram Beizai, Nasser Taghvai, Amir Naderi, Masoud Kimiai and Behrouz Afkhami, and is also known as the poet of Iranian cinema.
Nemat Haghigi married Lili Golestan in 1968 and divorced her 6 years later; the result of this marriage is three children named Mani, Sanam and Mahmoud.
Haghighi died on Wednesday, May 25, 2010 due to a heart problem in Tehran's Iranmehr Hospital.
